They are seeking a skilled Press Operations Specialist to enhance their team. This role involves overseeing various tasks within the offset printing process, with a particular focus on UV ink application. Essential duties encompass press setup and preparation, equipment cleanliness, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.

Focus:
- Uphold safety standards and follow all company safety procedures during job functions.
- Review job tickets to confirm print quantities, special instructions, and specific customer requirements.
- Verify printing materials to ensure they meet designated specifications.
- Inspect and verify plates for correct graphics before initiating production.
- Prepare the press by installing rollers, aligning plates, applying ink, and fine-tuning fountain settings as necessary.
- Operate and monitor the press for efficient performance.
- Register process colors or specialty colors accurately.
- Ensure accurate ink and water balance to attain optimal printing quality.
- Adjust inks as needed to meet specified color requirements.
- Continuously check and fine-tune UV lighting to maintain curing standards, avoiding issues such as offset and delamination.
- Inspect press sheets during production to identify and adjust for any variations.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the press and related equipment.
- Assist with additional duties as required to support production.
Skill Set:
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced training in art or graphic design is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in offset printing and press setup.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail with an eye for accurate color matching.
- Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous materials.
- High level of personal integrity and professionalism.
- Previous experience as a lead press operator preferred.
- Strong ability to follow instructions, aiding in the efficient operation and maintenance of press machinery.
- Positive attitude and effective team collaboration skills.
